MSC. MANUELA IMERAJ

Manuela Imeraj has a degree in the Faculty of Law, University of Tirana in 2002 and a Master Degree in “European Studies”, School of Postgraduate Studies, University of Tirana in 2008. She has an Attorney at Law’s License since 2008. She has been working in the General Prosecutor’s Office since 2002 and for the last 15 years she has been an expert in international judicial cooperation in criminal matters between domestic and foreign judicial authorities, dealing with extradition cases, mutual legal assistance, joint investigation teams in cases of organized crime, transfer of prisoners and criminal proceedings etc. She has worked part time for several years as a Lecturer in the Department of Journalism, Faculty of History and Philology, University of Tirana.

She has been involved as a short-term Expert for various projects implemented by British Embassy, German Development Cooperation GIZ Office Albania and several NGOs. She has been part of various inter-institutional working groups on drafting legislation in the criminal field. Ms. Imeraj has been an organizer of many trainings and workshops with the participation of representatives from foreign judicial authorities and she has participated in many conferences and trainings abroad. During January – April 2006 she has attended the Leadership Program of “Advanced Security Studies”, at the International College for Security Studies, George C. Marshall Center, Garmisch – Panterkirchen, Germany. For the period of 2016-2018 she has been the Secretary General of the Albanian Association of George C. Marshall Alumni.
